doTERRA has posted a GREAT DIY tutorial on making your own lip balm. It can be customized by the oils you choose and tinted by the items you choose (or not) to add. I highly recommend checking it out!
I LOVE to use lip balm. It is the only piece of 'make-up' that is essential to my daily routine. I use it throughout the day, tinted or plain, tube, tub, or squeeze pouch...

Yes, you read that correctly. I made Cornbread using an Amish Friendship Bread starter bag. I also happen to have plenty of starters on hand in case anyone is in the area and would like one to get started baking with on their own. Click here to read more... So, I realize that I am clumsy and REALLY should know better, but...
1 month ago I sliced the pad of my index finger while trying to clean the blades of my new Ninja (it was covered with soap I was trying to crumble for a green-cleaning workshop. It was a BAD cut. One where you don't look. You instantly clean, apply pressure and bandage, hold elevated and pray. No time to go get stitches, had a workshop to teach so I hoped for the best. Three weeks of applying helichrysum twice daily and keeping bandaged. One week of applying Melissa twice daily, keeping bandaged during the day and open at night. It is still a bit tender, and you can see where there is some pink tissue, but it is 100% closed up and functional! I sure wish I had taken a before picture! Ugh! Darn that 20/20 hindsight! Optimal...no. Affordable, natural, great-results...YES! Source for the products is my website: http://www.mydoterra.com/trailmixy Products used are listed below.
One of the most sought-after essential oils, helichrysum has traditionally been used for its soothing and regenerative effects. The rare essential oil of helichrysum is distilled from the flower cluster of an evergreen herb and is highly prized by essential oil users*. For aromatic and topical use.
Our most expensive and rare oil, Melissa essential oil has a sweet, fresh, citrus-like fragrance and is steam distilled from the fresh flowering tops, leaves and stems of the Melissa officinalis plant. With a wide range of therapeutic properties, Melissa can be used for calming the nerves, addressing stomach discomfort, mood support, and seasonal bugs. Because the Melissa plant has an oil yield of less than 1/10 of 1%, it is one of the most commonly adulterated oils. For aromatic, topical, or internal use. Just a reminder that our next live class will be at the Angry Bull in Kimball, on Lapeer Rd. East of Wadhams Rd.. It will be one week from Monday, on May 6th at 7. Hope to see you there!
I am currently trying like crazy to link up this blog with Facebook, but so far.. no luck. It is the first time I have really had a problem with Weebly, so I am sure they'll help me with it, but in the meantime, thanks for visiting!
